  • Changes

Today is my last day at Merl's. It's a bitter/sweet thing for me. This has been my dream job. I loved it! Looking back, I see things I would have done differently. But I will never regret the decision to work here. I started at 18 and now I'm 22. Working on my 4th year. :) I will miss my people very much! And I am so grateful for the chance to know them and work with them and have had such a great job!

I am leaving Friday for Bald Eagle. I'm excited and scared. I will definitely miss my family, church and friends, but I'm looking forward to this great adventure! Pray for me as I go!

  • I think I'm breaking a record here by posting two days in a row, but something wonderful had just happened that I have been dreaming seriously for a year, have desired to do since I was a child.

A month ago I applied for a cooking position at Bald Eagle Boys Camp in PA. My grandparents used to live up at camp and we would go up there for Christmas. It was so much fun and every since then it has been a special place in my heart. Over the years I developed a great desire to serve there, whether as secretary or cook I wasn't sure. Lots of things happened inbetween that time and now. God knew I wasn't ready then, but He began the slow process of making me ready. And now a year after I first seriously persued the idea, God has opened the door for me to go. For real, it is so perfect. The way God worked it out is beyond my wildest imagination. But He is faithful. He truly does take us all on a journey. Mine is definitely not finished, but I am excited to see what He has next for me. I want to bring Him honor and glory wherever I am, whatever situation He brings my way. Because I know that He is with me and guides me and in the end I am thankful for it all, because I have learned to know my Saviour so much more.

I am planning to leave around the end of October. Please pray for me as I prepare. There is not much time, but there isn't a whole lot to do either (i don't think :)).

  • Fall

Today is the first day of Fall and I decided to celebrate by going to Main Street Coffee and ordering a Hazelnut Turtle Raspberry Frappe. It was delicious!  Happy Fall to Everyone!

I really need to update more. It's bad when you realize that just a few post earlier it was this time last year! Bad bad!! And it's not the facebook excuse either because I decided to get rid of Facebook for a while. It took up way too much time. :) I kinda miss it tho. Because xanga is about to hit the grave. It was good while it lasted.

  • Pictures of Fall

I got these pics of the web, I didn't take them myself but I really wish I would've. My sister is good at photography and I LOVE it too, I just can't seem to capture what I see sometimes. So I will borrow other peoples and be happy with that. :)

    Fall 11

I just love these leaves. I looks like somebody was walking throught the woods in a very dreamy state when they happened upon a pile of beautiful leaves and it just lifted there spirits so, and touch their soul enough that they took a picture. And that is an official run-on sentence I think, but I never was good at English. :)

    Fall 10

Wouldn't it be lovely to get married at a church like that?

    Fall 6

This sorta reminds me of the path I walked at SMBI, or it reminds me of Indiana, or of feeling little girl happy. I just love the woods in the background. Makes me wonder what's in them to explore!

    Fall 7

And I SO love swans! And reflections and bridges!

    Fall 9

Looking at this makes me think of camping. I can just smell the leaves and feel the warmth of the campfire. Take me away! :)

    Fall 8

    Fall 4

    Fall 5

Not my house, but I think its beautiful! I can just imagine stepping out the front door to go to Fall and Christmas parties. :)

    Fall 3

Mom likes to decorate with stuff like this. :)

    Fall 2

Looking at the brown grass and grey sky I can feel the cold on my face. I LOVE the fading pumpkin thing. :)

    Fall 1

And that's all folks. Hope you enjoyed it. I love looking at pictures and imagining.

Have a wonderful rest of the week. :)

    Jen :)
